Issues Analysis
Once the set of twelve (12) Feasible Strategies were determined, the outreach team conducted roundtable meetings with various interest groups to gain feedback and address questions on the Strategies.  This document details meetings and discussions held between November 2001 and May 2002.  The outreach activities that were conducted in the initial phase of the Study are described in further detail later in this document.  This is the first of several documents, which will present and analyze public comments regarding the US 101 Corridor at different phases or milestones of the Study.

Roundtable Discussions
Stakeholders with common interests were invited to attend roundtables meeting in March 2002 to discuss the Feasible Strategies under consideration for improving the 101 Freeway.  To encourage attendance across the 40-mile Study area, the corridor was divided into the following three regions:

 West
 Central
 East
Route 23 (Thousand Oaks) to Route 27/Topanga Canyon

Route 27/Topanga Canyon to Universal City

Universal City to downtown Los Angeles

In order to establish a benchmark of opinion by interest group and by region, separate meetings were held with major property owners, business organizations/interests, community groups/ institutions and homeowner groups/residents.
